SPEED AT SEAWORK ANNOUNCED!

Fast vessels will be flying into Seawork this year as we prepare for the Speed@Seawork event. The first of it's kind it aims to debut and showcase the very best in speedy commercial vessels!

Andrew Webster, CEO of Seawork organiser Mercator Media, said;

“Speed@Seawork is being launched in response to sustained industry demand for a dedicated event for fast vessel builders, operators and specialist equipment manufacturers. Speed@Seawork aims to bring them together to trial equipment in diverse sea states, share best practice and make the connections and innovations needed for high-speed critical operations to be a success.”

Day One (Monday 2 July) of Speed@Seawork will enable boat builders and operators to showcase fast boats for interdiction, SAR, border force, riverine and humanitarian relief purposes, and for specialist equipment manufacturers to come together to share innovation and best practice for communications, navigation and safety. Sea trials will take place in the challenging conditions offered by the Solent and English Channel, which delivers a unique mix of sheltered, tidal and offshore sea states, ideal for demonstrating these fast vessels and equipment.

The second day(Tuesday 3 July) will see the new Speed@Seawork Conference cover topics including hull design, vessel building, propulsion, navigation and communication, in addition to biomechanics and crew welfare.
