Busy times at Blyth Catamarans

Seawork 2018 exhibitor Blyth Catamarans, the Essex, UK-based boatbuilder formerly known as Blyth Workcats, has recently completed an 11m workboat for the Philippines and is soon to complete a 14m passenger vessel to be based in Seahouses, Northumberland. The Philippines-destined vessel is the first order Blyth Catamarans has received from the country, which could see the company producing more boats for clients based here in the future.
An 18m vessel is also in construction for Swansea University, which will be used for survey work, as will a 14m vessel for Associated British Ports (ABP).
Stuart Davidsen, managing director of the specialist designer and builder of GRP catamarans, said company orders were steady and a recent 12m fishing vessel order for France was a positive reflection of the health of the boatbuilding industry.

Blyth Catamarans is also currently building a new production facility at its Essex, UK site.
