What makes Seawork Work?

It’s always interesting to find out what makes Seawork work for the 600-odd exhibitors who attend Europe’s foremost event of its kind, held each year in Southampton. Their responses were illuminating, as you’ll discover.

iXblue is a French company founded over 30 years ago that provides innovative solutions for the geosciences, offshore energies and defense markets. iXblue brought its pioneering 25m hydrographic survey catamaran, named Felix, to Seawork.

Guillaume Eudeline, Business Development Manager for iXblue, which is headquartered in St. Germain-en-Laye in France, and which employees over 500 staff worldwide, was thrilled with the turnout at this year’s event:

“This is the fourth time iXblue has exhibited at Seawork, exhibiting our high-tech vessels and surveying equipment,” Guillaume commented.

He continued, “iXblue has over 1,000 customers in 35 countries spanning workboat and defence clients; Seawork epitomises the commercial sector being at the heart of the worldwide workboat market, and is therefore the place to be.”

iXblue has just announced the launch of its new multi-purpose Autonomous Unmanned Surface Vessel (AUSV) nicknamed DriX, which features groundbreaking offshore navigation capabilities and best-in-class transit speeds. We look forward to seeing more about this exciting vessel in the future.

Arriving from Massachusetts in the USA, servicing the public safety, military and hazardous outdoor pursuits markets, CeAn Sports delivers design, safety and supply of personal protective equipment (PPE). As well as exhibiting within the exhibition hall, CeAn Sports also entered its newly launched helmet into the Innovations Showcase at Seawork, where it received significant interest although just missing being shortlisted for an award.

Terry Brook, founder of CeAn Sports commented at the event, “We are demonstrating and launching to the European market our American helmet. Seawork came up as one of the best shows for the maritime commercial work field, as well as public safety, as it offered a great mix of people to expose our product to. Seawork offers great networking and having our product in the Innovations Showcase certainly drove people to visit our stand. We will certainly be back again next year.”
